Andrew Linham

Incredibly busy and in demand, Andrew has a varied schedule balancing performing, composing, teaching and theatre work whilst running his own ensembles, The Andrew Linham Jazz Orchestra and the Andrew Linham Quartet. His ensembles have performed to packed audiences across London, Essex and the South East and continue to impress with his original compositions and arrangements, presentational style and the passion that he shows in all areas of his career for music. He has performed alongside some of the greatest UK based up and coming musicians in London which has seen him whilst working as an endorsee with SAXRAX Saxophone Stands and Yamaha Saxophones perform internationally at the NAMM 2012 in LA, USAAand Musikmesse 2013, 2014 and 2016 in Frankfurt, Germany. His big band the Andrew Linham Jazz Orchestra has premiered two new suites of music, the latest of which was presented at the EFG London Jazz Festival 2015 and in October 2017 launched their new album ‘Weapons of Mass Distraction’. Andrew has recently written and premiered his second full length musical 'Never Never' in 2022, following his first, an adaption of the Wind In The Willows at Queens Theatre Hornchurch, in July 2017. It was sold out for all performances with standing ovations every night! In 2012 he released his first album as a leader of the Andrew Linham Quartet entitled ‘Abandoned Silence’ which received critical acclaim.

Sam Merrick

Sam Merrick is a British singer of ever-growing repute. Having had the privilege of sharing the stage & performing with some of the top names in Jazz, he now performs internationally, pleasing audiences far and wide with the likes of The Nick Ross Orchestra, Ronnie Scott's Jazz Orchestra & other projects on the UK & European Circuits. In 2020, Sam featured on a number of tracks for The Nick Ross Orchestra's latest album, 'Sounds of the Glenn Miller Era' recorded at the legendary Abbey Road Studios, London with whom he has been touring with for the past 10 years. Released in November 2020, it has since been featured on UK regional, National and International Radio including BBC Radio 2 (Elaine Paige), Jazz FM UK (Clare Teal), JAZZ.FM91(The Big Band Show) in Canada and RTHK Radio 3 in Hong Kong. More recently, a wonderful and unexpected connection was made through Instagram during the lockdowns 2020/2021 with Belgian Pianist, Jef Neve. In 2022, Sam was invited to feature on Jef's 2023 record alongside other artists including; Madeleine Peyroux, Johnny Manuel & Robin McKelle. Jef Neve's 'That Old Feeling' was released April 2023 and Sam is currently touring with the band to promote the release, performing at theatres, concert halls, festivals and live sessions for TV and radio alike! Also in 2023, Sam recorded with Dutch Jazz Trumpeter, Teus Nobel for a single, 'In My Solitude' that was a bonus track following the release of his latest album, 'After Hours in November.

Tom Green

Winner of the 2013 Dankworth Prize for Jazz Composition, Tom Green is a trombonist, composer and arranger described as "a new rising star in the British jazz scene" by Nigel Williams (Jazz FM). In 2014 he was mentioned 3 times as Jazzwise "One to Watch", and was the recipient of a Help Musicians UK Emerging Excellence award. He is a graduate of the Royal Academy of Music jazz course, and has performed at venues including Ronnie Scott's, the Vortex and 606 Club, as well as the Montreux, Toronto and Montreal Jazz Festivals. His current main project is the Tom Green Septet, who released their debut album "Skyline" in February 2015 to unanimous critical acclaim. Tom has directed his own groups and big bands on national tours, including an 18-date Septet album launch tour across the UK, from Inverness in Scotland to St Ives in Cornwall. He has performed internationally at the Casa del Jazz in Rome, La Mortella on the island of Ischia in Italy, the Budapest Jazz Club, and Langnau Jazz Nights festival in Switzerland. In 2014 his quintet was invited to Tunisia by the Jazz Club of Tunis to teach for a week-long programme alongside musicians from the Vanguard Jazz Orchestra in New York, culminating in a performance for International Jazz Day 2014.

Tommy Smith

Tommy Smith has been a presence on the international jazz scene since his teenage years, when he toured with vibes virtuoso Gary Burton, and went on to record with the definitive jazz label, Blue Note and work with many jazz greats including Chick Corea, John Scofield, and Jack DeJohnette. His compositions and work as a soloist extend to the symphonic arena, with albums including Modern Jacobite with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra. He is also the founding director of the Scottish National Jazz Orchestra, which he has built into a world-class, award-winning big band whose collaborations include tributes to Weather Report, with drummer Peter Erskine, and Frank Sinatra, with Kurt Elling, new works for jazz orchestra and Japanese taiko drummers and most recently collaboration involving live artwork with Russian artist Maria Rud in Edinburgh's 12th century St Giles' Cathedral. As well as touring and recording with his groups, Smith toured for 15-years with the world with Norwegian double bass master Arild Anderson's trio, which recorded 3 prestigious ECM albums. In 2019 Smith was awarded the OBE, adding to myriad awards including three honorary doctorates and a professorship from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, where he founded the jazz course.
